School Of Gem Cutting

The Egyptian School of Gem Cutting (/info Gem Cutting 101) is a site where Scholar's Gem Cutting Tables (aka bijou tables) have been built to hold each of the catalog gem cuts as challenge gems. Located just a short jog northwest from the Midland Valley Megalopolis at 975,5153, the tables offer players who are new to gem cutting a place they can go to practice and learn the standard cuts without wasting precious cuttable gems in the process by virtue of the bijou table's ability to repeat the same raw gem. The tables have been made to be non-judgeable so-as to avoid interfering with either the Test of the Bijou or the Test of Reason. Once you're confident in your ability to recognize the type of flaws you need for a particular design, and the method of cutting the design in a controlled environment, you'll be in a better position to attempt the cuts with a normal table and cuttable gems.
