The Tale of the Boy who wanted to see RA.

"One day long ago there was a boy who longed to greet RA, believing that it would help him to get immortality. He got up and watched his blazing eye rise everyday. One day he decided to run to greet him. So he trained hard for many months for the speed to run and the endurance to keep up but of course no one is faster than RA. So on that day he got up before dawn and started running to where he knew he would appear. He ran and ran until RA appeared but sadly he had risen high in the sky and set before he could see him. So he trained harder and faster and set out again on another day. This time he ran the opposite way, hoping to reach where RA set every day. He ran and ran RA came up behind him, he was dismayed but kept running. Soon RA set in front of him. The boy was scared, the cold wind of night was closing and he had not packed any warm cloths, thinking he would be with RA. He was so tired that he collapsed right there on the ground. Isis was passing through the desert and found the boy. This was a rare thing as Isis rarely travels though the desert because of little that grows there. She picked up the boy and brought him back to the warmth of his home where his parents were scared of where the boy had got to. With the wisdom the boy had received from Isis, he helped his father, mother and brothers to produce the best harvest for many years. There the tale ends I think" - The royal bodyguard/scribe Ashebu

The joke about the twin handmaidens

There were once two handmaidens; they looked alike and dressed in exactly the same clothes of course. Once they were walking together side by side along a path in the garden. When they came up to a man (sorry I have forgotten the name used) he was drunk from so much wine. He got up and walked towards the girls, the girls parted and the man walked through and then he thought to himself "How did she do that?" - The "King's fool" - told by Uatchet.

Dyant's Song

Did anybody manage to log the song that Dyant ("The Tyrant") sang to impress Uatchet? That was definitely a highlight of the weekend...
