Theories about seed duplication
- from what pharaoh has said, we could reproduce garlic seeds VERY early in the game. possibly on day 1. so its very very likely that making more seeds is not dependant on any particular building, or produced item. Environmental factors (location/crowding/time) are more consistant with other seeds. (TheDude)
- One of the people that claims to have been told how to reproduce the seeds has tried it and could not get it to work. In their opinion it is bugged.
- At the San Jose player gathering with Teppy, he confirmed that he has repeatedly tested garlic seed reproduction. He also said that he has a log file that is added to any time someone does produce more then one seed, and that reproductions are, a few times a week, occuring.
Crazy ideas nobody has tried yet
- growing a LARGE number of garlic plants at one time. say 20 people, each growing a few.
- growing near EoO/HoA mushrooms
- Growing under the Pharaoh when he is AfK.
- Use garlic instead of garlic seed, drop it at different locations/times
- Grow in a crowd of at least 50 (I know a crowd this large generates a message for Pharaoh from his response to a wedding a few months ago, but I don't know that anyone tried growing garlic then)
- Harvest garlic next to four other garlic plants, one at each stage of growth
- Having one member of a married couple plant the garlic, and the other harvesting it
