Aqueducts are praised for both their beauty and usefulness. Aqueduct pumps tower over the Nile and nearby lakes. Water is pumped into the highest tower in the aqueduct system, from which it flows gently downhill to connected towers.

Architects benefit when vegetables are harvested near their towers, or near towers farther away from the pump on the same line. In the Test of Life, Architects compete to have the busiest towers for growing vegetables, or towers upstream from those used to grow.
