Distaff

A distaff is a building for spinning fibres. It can

• spin tow into twine
• spin lint into thread
• spin twine into rope
• spin steel wire into cable, if equipped with a pinch roller.

The amount of the fibres that can be spun is dependent on the type of the distaff:
