Rigid
- 50 sulfur, 30 lime gets you all the way on Rigid, for making other board types.
Rigid Rotproof
- 50 sulfur, 30 lime, 52 Beeswax
Rigid, Termite-resistant, white
- 60 sulfur, 10 saltpeter, 30 lime, 15 tar
I happen to have much more tar than I do lead. Lead would be great for this, being good both on rigid and on termite resistant. But...
How it works:
- Sulfur is cheap, and gets us most of the way on rigit, and gets us progress on termite-resistant as well.
- Saltpeter is not good on "rigid", but the fact that it is so very far away limits how much damage it does to "rigid". And it is very close to sulfur (in the right direction) on Termite-resistant, so it will produce significant effects there.
- Lime we've seen is relatively cheap, and pushes "rigid" to the point that we could do pretty much anything else with the boards and keep the attribute. We've pushed Termite-resistant up to where the lime will have less effect upon it.
- Tar, at this point will have a pretty good effect on termite resistance, and we've locked "rigid" in (more or less).
- White? I was aiming for Rigid, Termite-Resistant. I could care less about white. If I needed Black, I'd have to reconsider the recipe...
