~Recommended Method Of Production~
Glass is made on a GLAZIERS BENCH using Normal Glass. There must be 20 pieces of glass in the glaziers bench at all times and then each glass product needs 1 piece of normal glass for production
For 1 piece of Normal Glass we need:
To Make Lime:
Materials required: 129 wood, 100 limestone, 100 water in jugs
Product: Up to 70 lime, quite a lot of charcoal...48+
1) Build a 29 wood bonfire and light it
2) When it reaches 1 wood, add 100 limestone, 1 wood and 1 water.
3) Every time it reaches 0 wood, add 1 wood and 1 water.
4) When you run out of water & wood, let it burn out.
To Make Ash For Potash:
1) build a bonfire of 277 wood and light it
2) at 232 wood left, add 12 garlic
3) at 172 wood left, add 152 carrots
4) at 87 wood left, add 117 cabbages
yield is 2 charcoal and 47 ash
To Make Potash:
1. Requires 25 water, 29 wood and 5 ash to start.
2. Ignite (cost 5 wood)
3. Burns off 1 wood in lighting
4. Fire burns to 2 wood left
5. Add 3 wood...
6. Repeat step 5 & 6 until all wood has gone
Method For Using Glazier's Bench
1. Add the charcoal gradually until desired heat is achieved.
2. To work a piece of glass the temperature should be between 1600 and 2400 degrees.
3. Make the product of your choice by clicking the option you need.
4. If the temperature drops to about 2000 add 6 more charcoal.
5. Keep the temperature between 1600 and 2400 degrees until the product has been made successfully
It is not worth heating up the Glazier's Bench for only one items as the useage of charcoal is substantial. If you need any glass items ask your fellow guild members if they need some things too and do them all at the same time.
