Guild Legacy's Constitution

Article 1:

By joining Legacy, members agree with this constitution. Any failure to respect it can result from a demotion to ejection of the guild after a majority vote by the Elders.

Article 2: Language

a)- Legacy's official languages are English and French. This does not imply that we do not want other language speakers, simply that we unfortunately do not know other languages well enough. b)- A serious attempt shall be made to translate any Legacy document into both languages. c)- No requirement is made on language fluency. In fact, Legacy is a great place to learn or perfect your language skills!

Article 3: Legacy’s Goals

a)- Legacy’s soul is team work and playing for maximum fun. b)- Legacy’s first goal is to help each member pass all the tests in each field. However, it is not mandatory to pass each test to join or stay in Legacy. c)- Other goals remain to be decided by the Elders or anyone designated by them (see the article about Guild Functioning).

Article 4: Guild Resources & Equipment

a)- The use of Legacy’s resources is strictly prohibited for personal use. For personal tuition and projects member need to use their personal resources. b)- Usage of Legacy’s equipment is only limited by the permission assigned to each tool. These equipment permissions are set according to the difficulties the guild would have if it has to rebuild the equipment. c)- A serious effort shall be made every month to reevaluate these permissions in order to open the maximum of tools to our members.

Article 5: Guild Communications

Each member should have an e-mail for better communication and join the Guild Legacy's email list<this list has been cancelled>. This is not mandatory but very helpful to exchange ideas, files and conduct polls. Creating a free account on Yahoo takes only a few minutes. Ask one of the Elders for help if necessary. Member who resign from Legacy can still belong to the atitd_legacy e-mail list.

Article 6: Member’s Goals and Requirement

a)- Each member can specialize in the field of his choice. b)- The original joining fee is 150 boards and 300 bricks. At any time, Legacy’s Elders may decide to change this fee to cover the expenses of the guild house expansion. c) No other weekly or monthly “tax” is required. The entire pool of active members, after a majority vote among themselves, may decide to change this tax policy.

Article 5: Member Compounds

a)- Each member should have his own small compound to be able to play in case of (a long) absence of the other members. This is not mandatory but advised. b)- Each private compound can have the basic equipment. However we discourage member to duplicate massive equipment's, even if this equipment is given to the Guild, in order to not waste resources that can be used by Legacy for common project.

Article 7: Interaction with other Guilds/Players

a)- Each member can make personal gifts or trade with any person or guild of his choice without having to report to Legacy unless that gift or trade is against Legacy's interests and/or goals. b)- Guild gifts or trades with any person or guild need to be decided by the Elders or anyone designated by them. c)- Each member can be a member of other guilds unless these memberships are against Legacy's interests and/or goals.

Article 8: Member Ranking

a)- The two lowest guild ranks are specific to Legacy. b)- The Initiate is the original rank for any newbies or new members. Trial accounts will stay at that rank. c)- The Associate is an honorary rank for a non-active person the guild want to thank for their past support. d)- Members and above are ranks for paid accounts having demonstrated their will to implicate themselves into Legacy’s projects & goals.

Article 9: Member Promotion and Demotion

a)- Member promotion or demotion depends on how the member contributes to Legacy's projects and goals. Promotions & demotions are decided by the Elders and the member’s mentor. b)- Trial accounts are restricted to the Initiate rank c)- Paid accounts cannot stay at the Initiate rank longer than 5 days. c)- Unless informed, Legacy will automatically demote any member to passive status after 15 days of inactivity. d)- Legacy will automatically kick out members who have quit the Tale. e)- Legacy will have at all times an odd number of Elders so as to avoid ties in decision making. f)- This number is currently one.

Article 10: Guild Functioning

a)- Legacy Elders, after a majority vote among themselves, can fix a common goal for the guild. Each member can then decide freely to join the project or not. The resources and time frame for this guild project will be fixed and mandatory once agreed to. b)- Each participating member will receive an objective depending on his/her abilities. However, the means to reach that personal objective stay the responsibility of each member as long as the original Legacy goal and time frame are respected. c)- Each Legacy major project should have its own chest, located in the Vantur building, where members can stash the needed resources. d)- Creating common stocks can be decided by the Elders, or anyone designated by them. If created, these common stocks will be controlled by the Elders or anyone designated by them to satisfy the best interests of the guild. Chests containing these stocks will be available to other members according to their active/passive status and/or rank. e)- Dedicated tasks can only be given to member by the Elders or Mentor after mutual agreement.

Article 11: Mentor Student Relationship

a)- Mentors have the responsibility of providing knowledge, advice and assistance in acquiring vital resources to his students. b)- Each student has the duty to help his mentor build projects, gather resources or acquire knowledge.

Article 12: Member Absence or Departure

a)- In the case of a long absence, members should inform Legacy. If the member is in charge of a specific building or project or task, it is his responsibility to find a replacement member to perform his tasks while away and to make sure that ownership and permissions are set to allow the replacement to perform the job. Informing the guild using the mailing list is vital here. b)- If a member whose primary guild is Legacy decides to stop playing the Tale, they shall transfer everything they own to Legacy, especially their cornerstones.

Article 13: Sister Guild

a)- Legacy Elders, after a majority vote among themselves, may decide to create sister guilds specialized in one task or goal. b)- The sister guild, closed to any non Legacy active members, will follow Legacy’s constitution but may have its own specific addendum to it. c)- The sister guild can and should participate in Legacy’s projects, goals and trades but can have projects, goals and trades of their own as long as these are not against the interests or goals of Legacy. d)- The sister guild ranking shall follow the traditional Tale ranking. e)- One of the three Sister Guild Elders must be one of Legacy’s Elders

Article 14: Dismantling the Guild

a)- After all efforts have been made to save Legacy’s future, Legacy Elders, after a majority vote among themselves, may decide to dissolve the guild. b)- In that case, buildings, resources, and stocks will be distributed evenly between active members regardless of rank. b)- Any remaining buildings, resources and stocks will be destroyed and salvaged as best as possible in order to keep Egypt's pollution to the minimum.
