The Test of Ka
The first requirement is to build your tomb. The tomb will contain your sarcophagus and storage space for the items required to sustain your Ka. The initial tomb will have space for a limited number of boxes, but can be continually upgraded for additional room.
Each player must meditate on their tomb each round to determine what is needed for each of the seven gods. The seven gods will pick an item that should be placed into the tomb. These items must first be placed into a box as a tribute to that god. The requirements for the box will be different for each person for each god. These requirements will change for each round, as will the item desired by each god. Only the requested items placed in the correct box may be added to the tomb. Before the requirements are revealed, a wager must be made on the number of boxes that will be filled during that round for each god. For the purposes of the wager, the same number of boxes must be built for each god. Players failing to reach the wager amount will receive a reduced amount of points. Players exceeding the wager amount will receive reduced points on any additional boxes.
As the gods decide on new items that will be required for your Ka, the old items decrease in value. As a result, the previous score of the tomb will be decreased at the beginning of each round. The top tombs in the land will gain one point at the end of each round, with seven points being required to pass. Once a tomb has passed, it will not be considered for additional points.
Players will be rewarded for their continued devotion. Golden cogs will be given to players based on the number of boxes contained within the tomb, and the cogs will be a resource requirement in certain buildings. The golden cogs are separate from the points earned by the tombs. Players may continue to add boxes to their tombs to gain additional cogs after they have passed the test.

The Test of Ka
Only the most devoted shall attain a place alongside the gods in the afterlife. In order to prove your worthiness, you must build your tomb and fill it with the items required to sustain your Ka. Although your tomb will initially only contain your sarcophagus and room for a small number of items, over time it will become a great testament to your devotion.
Through meditation at your tomb, the gods will reveal the most vital items needed by your Ka. In order to protect these items until your Ka’s journey, they must first be placed in ceremonial boxes as tributes to the gods. Each person’s Ka is unique and will need different items to aid in the journey through the afterlife. The items required by your Ka, as well as the ceremonial boxes required by the gods, are ever changing and can only be revealed through continued meditations. While the gods offer direction for your preparations, they first require that you show your devotion by making a pledge of the number of boxes you will place into your tomb. Meeting your pledge will result in the satisfaction of the gods. Be warned, the gods do not approve of those who are not serious in their devotion. Overestimating or underestimating your devotion will result in a penalty from the gods.
As the gods offer direction on the current needs of your Ka, the older items in your tomb will lose their importance. Only those items currently needed by your Ka are worthy of the full approval of the gods. Those with greatest devotion to the gods will gradually earn their place in the afterlife.
While the most devoted will earn their place among the gods, anyone showing an acceptable level of devotion will be rewarded. As a symbol of their rising status in the afterlife, those with successful offerings will be awarded symbolic Golden Cogs by the University of Architecture. The golden cogs will be used in making special buildings that are being designed by the universities.
