Test of the Architects Image
Build a statue to Imhotep, but not just anywhere. Acquire permission to make use of a pyramid that is at least 5-tiers big, and install your statue there. The statue will not be easy to build. It will require a small number of limestone blocks for its base, requiring you to do some pushing from outside the area already cleared by the pyramid itself. Next you will need an assortment of items for the statue itself, firebricks, cut stone, assorted jewels, and marble. Other items may be required. Once the statue is built, you are not done yet. Imhotep was a doctor as well as an architect, so your statue will require a sacrifice of herbs, incense?, and tools, because tools are necessary for an architect or a doctor to work.
Permission to build on a pyramid would be granted by either the owner of the pyramid, or the elders of the guild that owns the pyramid.
The passes for this test would only be limited by the amount of pyramids, and by the number of statues allowed on each pyramid.
Possible rewards
- An advanced ability for finding limestone blocks or marble.
- Increased output of a marble quarry if you build it.
- Temporary stat boost of your choice that the builder can access from the statue, once every 3 Egypt days perhaps.
Ways to make it harder
- Create region specific marbles, and have them be necessary for the statue.
- The sacrifice will be different for each person, making it harder to prepare in advance.
- Limit the amount of statues per pyramid, to increase competition.
Ways to be evil
- Corner the market on one type of marble that is required.
- Allow for one person to build multiple statues to decrease others chances of building.
- Build a pyramid, but not allow anyone to build on it (just plain mean).
- Dig up limestone blocks around a pyramid so others can’t use them.
Reasoning for test
Imhotep was Egypt’s premier architect and doctor during his time. He was known as the first pyramid architect, and his medical practices were very advanced for his time.
