We first determined that herb seeds grow only near active (wet) aqueduct - that part was already know to many. We also dicovered that cultured herbs are entirely location dependant, and there may only be a handful of regions in Egypt which, if irrigated, would support a given herb. Yet somehow, there were tantalizing clues that the situation is not so grim. We discovered that Common Basil grows reliably near the aqueduct tower at 1020, -2320, for instance. Prehaps further experiments by other universities and by our top citizen scientists would expand knowledge on this subject.

We have expanded our research efforts to cover locations not near existing aqueduct towers. Instead, we have focused on the ecology for various parts of Egypt, specifically the soil. After conducting a number of soil experiments, we are quite confident that should a tower be built in Egypt near -1150, 121, Camelmint seeds should easily grow nearby.
