It seems to have fallen to me to lead the artistic efforts in the construction of the Temple to Ra in the region of Red Sea Oasis. Somewhat belatedly, I have realized it is my responsibility to provide documentation of the building and major events in its construction. Although I am not a Master Architect like the grandmother for whom I was named, I am proceeding in this project to the best of my poor abilities.

The Temple Beginnings

Pheanor-Re, Acolyte of Ra, sought a dream scrying from Ra, to provide him with guidance for his life here in Egypt. Many helped provide the items for the scrying. Some tried to distort the purity of his purpose, but were thwarted when their plans were detected. The details are somewhat distasteful to me personally, as they involved another woman who had madly diverted her worship of Ra into worship for Ra's Acolyte Pheanor-Re. Her influence could have damaged the purity of Pheanor-Re's devotion to Ra. I had some small part in preventing this disaster, as Ra sent me a vision that made me faint from fear Pheanor-Re would be diverted from a true scrying. Ra's intervention prevented Pheanor-Re from being lead astray from Ra's plan for him. We hope that in time, Ra's true light will heal this unfortunate woman. Some of the blame must surely lie in her husband, who has deserted her.

The Scrying

Ra granted Pheanor-Re's prayer for a dream scrying, and revealed to him that Ra wished Pheanor-Re to build a magnificent Temple to Ra in Red Sea Oasis. This temple was to be decorated by the finest artists of the land. When Pheanor-Re revealed his vision to us, he also honored me by asking me to be his wife, to be married in the Temple when it was complete.

The Temple Plans, as revealed to Pheanor-Re

Temple Construction

(i will continue this another time, as my eyes grow weary and my fingers cramped from writing)

A Prayer fulfilled

On this wondrous day of Shemu I-29, our prayers came to fruition and we were granted an altar in our still uncompleted temple. This moment will live in my memory as one of the greatest thrills of my lifetime here in Egypt.
