Some more info:
  1. I baked all my existing tiles. Hey, why waste 4000 of em? I restarted the dredging process.
  2. I took one scoop of clay with ECE.
  3. I stopped and baked 1 tile. It came out as Broken Raeli Tile. The message displayed was The clay here is extremely brittle and the process of baking the tiles has caused them all to crack and break.
  4. I restarted the dredging process.
  5. I stopped and baked 1 tile. It also came out broken with the same message.
  6. Two hours later, 10 clay were gathered normally. Dredging was then started, stopped, and 1 tile baked. It also came out broken.
  7. 90 more clay gathered normally, dredging restarted, stopped, and 1 tile baked. Tile broken.
  8. 200 clay gathered normally; same process, still broken. At this point it seems like "proper" clay gathering will not undo even one "enhanced" clay scoop.

I will continue to investigate by restarting the dredging process after 24 hours, 48 hours, etc.

Have rebuilding the oven worked? -- ShanVizen

Finding the radius of the skill might prove useful. If the clay patch is big enough you might be able to use it for ECE and not bother the oven, though not likely. ;) - Gumby

I restarted the oven about 44 real life hours after the damage was done. Dredged 1 tile, baked it, and it broke. I have not yet rebuilt the oven. I can't make thermos on my own, so if anyone wants to donate to the cause....

I restarted the oven a few days ago, and just got around to baking the tiles today. None broke! This is good because there were 1,356 tiles in it. The baking occurred abbout 8 days after I had used ECE.
