/me 's Random Tips #1: Click the ugly dude sign posts (with the flags hanging down), they are the tutorial. Also, bottom left hand corner, click the citizenship tab, that is what you need to do to get off the island.
/me 's Random Tips #2: Do not make more then you need for the ferry, You can't take it with you.
/me 's Random Tips #3: The tar pit is on the n/w side of the island, at the base of a mountain hidden in tree's.
/me 's Random Tips #4: To start a private chat with someone do /chat usernamehere
/me 's Random Tips #5: : Your main goal at this time is to get Off the island, don't get too comfortable. Your home will be on the mainland.
/me 's Random Tips #6: Mentor's are regular people. Experinced players who like to help. Please treat them with respect, they are not spending their $14.95 a month to be abused :)
/me 's Random Tips #7: Join a mentoring guild as soon as you leave the starter island. You can be in more then one guild in this game. They are there to help you get settled and answer any questions that come up about more advanced stuff.

/me 's Random Tips #8: do /af usernamehere to add a person to your friend list. do that to your favorite mentor. to toggle the friend list on and off, use f11.

/me 's Random Tips #9: f5, f6, f7 and f8 are different cameara views. f6 is the standard view. if you do f8 twice, you can look straight down.

/me 's Random Tips #10: Rope is made from 1. rotten flax that is 2. seperated in a flax comb 3. use a distaff to turn the tow to twine 4. use the distaff to turn twine to rope.

/me 's Random Tips #1: When you take bricks from a brick machine (public or rsr) please restart it makeing more bricks for the next person.

/me 's Random Tips #3: Mentor shrines are important. You can only build it once, and can't move it once it's built. after about two weeks, please build it to the person who has helped you the most, or who has made the game fun.
/me 's Random Tips #4: There are better flax seeds then old eygept! i prefer kimber's whisper which gives 19 flax a harvest (but needs water) and Golden Age that gives 8 flax and 8 rotten flax per harvst (but doesn't need water). You can find these seeds at 2307 2276, just s/w of the chariot stop. only take one of each, you can always grow more for yourself.

/me 's Random Tips #6: Please injure any cactus you run by if you have the time, they only ooze one sap every minute, with a max of 3 per injury. it costs you nothing to do, and helps other players :)

/me 's Random Tips #8: How to turn on hotkeys: click yourself, then utility, then Chat-Related. make sure that "Chat and Inventory can be minimized" has an x in front of it. once that is done, hit enter once or twice, the chat should minimize, then the hot keys will work. for Bricks..you must also go to utility/one-click related to turn their hotkeys on.

/me 's Random Tips #9: Cornerstone! Once you pay for your account, you are given a free cornerstone. Click your building, then utility, then "install cronerstone". This will stop your building from needing any more maintance :)

/me 's Random Tips #10: Bricks. Yes, there is even a trick for bricks. first, go to utility/one-click related and make sure hotkeys for brickracks is OFF. 2. make and hold about 30 brick racks in your inventory. 3. drop them, One at a time (dont' use max) without moveing! this will "stack" the brick racks. 4. get your mud/sand/straw in your inventory. 5. click the side (not top) of the brick rack, click "make bricks" (or firebricks). repeat this step until it comes up with the "take" option. 6. minimize your chat. use the "t" key to get all the bricks. tada!

/me 's Random Tips #11: Tip for Kilns. Use the hotkeys w(wood), b (firebrick), f(fire) and t(take) to quickly load and unload the firebricks. (chat must be minimized to use these hotkeys)

/me 's Random Tips #12: the kilns cook up to 12 jugs or 12 firebricks at a time.

/me 's Random Tips #13" do /join e! just like that, with the ! and all. it is a radio station with anoucments of upcomeing events, special interviews and ..me from time to time ;)

do f3, see all the one's that begin with a U? they are universities. they have FREE skills. You need to run around to all of them and learn everything you can, and sign up for all the tests. The one's that start with an S are School's, and cost tution, so skip those for now. While your running around to the universities, you will get a good idea of what rso is like, and might find a place to build your home. BUT there is no rush to build a home, there is the guild compound and the public works just south of the chariot.

Finally, Red Sea Refuge has a starter pack! it costs 250 bricks for: 20 jugs, 1 copper and 1 iron for mineralogy, 2 leather for exploration travel, 4 copperwire for a huge chest, pair of breeding sheep when your ready.
