Just a thought I wanted to jot down. Too competitive for worship though.

---

The gods of Egypt demand reverence! Each participant must gain 7 favor with each god.

Each initiate of worship may select a single Egyptian god as their primary deity. They may get some small benefit based on which god they have chosen, however, they may only choose one, and they may never change their selection.

Once a god has been chosen, the priest may build an altar of sacrifice. The form and materials required will be specific to the god chosen, but each altar will have 1 or more decorative torches built into the design.

From time to time one of the gods will call upon his/her priests to make sacrifices. The only indication of the appropriate time will be that the torches on that diety's altar will become lit by the power of the diety. At that point, worshippers have 1 hour to notice the torch and begin the ceremony.

Invocation:

Priests of the god who has called for sacrifice begin the ceremony by doing the bless emote. All priests of that diety get a pop-up when the first bless is performed and have 7 minutes from that point to get to their altar and do the bless emote to be able to participate. At the end of 7 minutes, the chosen priests will get another pop up which says, "Let the sacrifice begin!"

Sacrifice:

All worshippers must be within range of their altar when the ceremony begins. Worshippers can now click "Begin the Sacrifice" on their altars. This brings up a popup which says, "God_name requires good_name! You may sacrifice in his/her honor!" Worshippers then have 3 minutes to load the altar with as much of that particular good as they like.

Conclusion:

Once the three minutes expires, all goods are consumed by a divine sacrificial flame. The largest sacrifice gains 7 favor (in the event of a tie, randomly selected between top sacrificers). The second largest sacrifice gains 3 favor. The top half of sacrificers get 1 point each. Both the largest sacrificer and a random attendee who gained NO favor get a large diety-specific blessing lasting 1 hour.
