Viticulture

General Information

Each player may receive a single vine cutting from one University of Worship. Once the player has received their vine cutting, they may receive another cutting from any other University of Worship that has unlocked the Viticulture tech, but not from the same one (not sure about the same one, i still get the supply demand option). Additionally, each University will only give out a single vine cutting once an hour, so if two people show up at the same time, only one of them may receive their vine cutting and the other must wait an hour to get theirs.

A Vineyard building, which can be built outside of a compound, must be built to grow the vine cutting(s) on. If you want to use grapes from the vines you will also need AT LEAST one Wine Barrel, to crush the grapes in, and one Glass Jar to pour the wine into. Crushing grapes is a task that requires Endurance, so having Grilled Fish nearby will be helpful. Pouring wine is a task that requires Speed.

Other Notes

Hopefully later this week I will get around to creating a vine exchange page.

For general reference you can find the Tale 1 viticulture information here

You can find information about growing your Vines here

(This growing guide is very short and noob-unfriendly, we need a much better guide to growing vines and getting grapes from them. Also, it should be on the one page, using subtitles to split the sections so that all the information about Viticulture is in one centralised place.)

- Instead of watering your vine every 6 hours, I have noticed that the life is dropping still at the 6 hour mark, so it would be better to leave it till the next 6 hours. Once the life stops going back up again, then water it. So may be water every 12 hours (not tested) to be sure you're not wasting the life of the wine.
- Instead of fertilising every 6 hours, check you vines constantly between the 4 and 6 hour mark. When you notice that the grapes stop growing and start falling again, make a note of that time as it will be the same time each time you grow grapes in the cycle. For my current vines it's around 5 hours somewhere. So this means that leaving for another hour would mean losing more grapes per cycle.
