Funerary Temple

A funerary temple is built to compete in the Test of Funerary Temple. Once built, Raeli tiles are added to it to glorify it. Be aware--if you are getting help loading materials in a funerary temple, whoever puts the last item in the small construction site will get credit for the funerary temple even though the person who sets up the site and provides all the materials will be listed as the owner.

Important note about small construction sites:
The person who loads the last thing into a construction site receives credit for constructing the new building. Normally this doesn’t matter for most buildings because the owner of the building is still the person who started the construction site. However, for Obelisks & Funerary Temples this makes a huge difference. Make sure you are the last person to load anything into a test's construction site. I was caught on this one and this is why I added this section so others would not get caught by this "bug". /Cynic

Once your temple has been built, you may add Raeli tiles to increase the temple's Glory. As you add tiles, you can see the temple's Glory score change. Your temple will grow as more tiles are added, and the various sections of the structure will change color to reflect the tile colors used (see below).

If you are in need of Raeli Tiles, but do not have access to an oven (or to an oven that produces the colors you want), browse to the Tile Trading Page.

To build:

Construction

Built: Outdoors, Small Construction Site (1canvas, 4 rope)

Skill/Tech Required: Signed up for the Test of the Funerary Temple.

Temple Colors

The 7 colors with the most tiles stored in the temple are used to determine the colors of the temple:

  1. The primary tiles of the 4 main walls.
  2. The roof color.
  3. The door frames.
  4. The top and bottom colors of the central pillar.
  5. The central pillar ring.
  6. The roof supports.
  7. The 4 posts surrounding the windows.

(***NOTE - Lime was my 7th color, upon adding a blue volor to remove all green from my funerary templ, the blue moved the lime color to the 8th spot, now if you can see the different rings of the pillar, if you notice where the rings are seperated, there is a small indention, the small tiles, that line that ring on my temple are now lime in color (the8th color) could use someone else to test/ry hthis to cconfirm) - Tactician

Scoring

Funerary temples acquire their score in the following manner, logarithmically:

Comments

The funerary temple gets quite large quite fast. So large, in fact, that you may eventually find yourself having to go inside the walls in order to get close enough to it to add further tiles. It might be a good idea to place the funerary temple 20 or more coordinates away from other things in your camp.
