Archaeological Survey Saturday, January 20, 2007 11:00 AM All of Egypt Band together with your fellow citizens of Egypt, seek out the location of ancient monuments and reveal the mysteries of generations past!
You have 7 days to find and recover the monuments of your forebears before they are lost forever to the sands of time.
At the conclusion of the survey our Pharaoh will award prizes to all those that contribute to the effort.

To be able to dig, you'll need an Archaeologist's Shovel, and some +END food would be handy.
There has been a lot of bogus accusations. going around about 'legacy players' hogging information. This page provides an explanation of how it worked last time and both old and new players should experiment to find out how it works this time.
As a start, http://perl.atitd.wiki/tale2/Atlas/Monuments shows where the T1 monuments were found for T2. Unfortunately, our grandfathers did not have the foresight to make a convenient list of the T2 monuments. Perhaps we will remember to have a single list of the T3 monuments when it comes time to build them.

In T2, we had to take an arch shovel and go out to a likely point, then dig there. If you were near (20 coords?) a buried monument, you'd get a message in main telling you to get help. Once you had a location, you needed hundreds-thousands of digs to slowly unearth the monument (it rose from the ground) so would call in helpers. When the monument was fully unearthed, a system message went out and the music for the Discipline played worldwide (it was the event releasing the music for the first time if I recall rightly).The monuments in T2 were near their T1 locations but not exactly - within several hundred coords.
The Challenge
- Find all monuments from our Ancestors of T2
- Find them / Unearth them
- Let the Land shine in glory :)
The known FACTS
- Each monument was created by a team of 127 people, led by the Oracle of each Discipline
- Needed lots of support from members of those Disciplines during construction, and completion
- Only 4 Monuments were built in Tale2 so this should be easier then looking for all 7
- Each monument will have the text of the final test and the names of the supporters on it
- Need an Archaeological shovel to Dig them up (hold shovel, self->archaelogist->survey area)
- T1 monuments are present in T3!
