Diamond
Looks like any pattern can also be a single color texture. Note the sunken tiny diamond texture. --Tazendra
Pyramid
This is a 3D diamond which can clearly be seen on the back and front of the above beetle. This effect is usually created when the main background colour is smoothed out in the centre of a hollow diamond and gives the illusion of it being raised into a pyramid shape. (breeder Tigerlily)
