Triangles. The basic pattern of repeating larger and smaller triangles may appear in one or more colors and in many different placements.
Wedges. Though also triangular, these are quite different from the basic triangle patterns. The wedges are fewer, non-repeating, and often feature a colored or rainbow stripe across the wide end.

Multi Patterns
This was a hybrid of 4 types of patterns which have occurred all at once in this beetle.
- The first is in the background which is a dimpled black (looks like roughened black rock.)
- The second is a 3D diamond as a result of a fine line hollow diamond where the background colour is smoothed out in the middle and giving the illusion of a raised pyramid effect. In some places these diamond patterns have merged together giving whacky lines and shapes. Some of these diamonds are also nested which can be seen at the base of the sides of the head and in the very middle of the beetle behind the neck.
- The third is an unusual fuzzy effect which created some very unique shapes made of broken up and fuzzy lines of 2 colours in other generations but nothing that was impressive enough to be showed at a rank garden. These can be seen at the back of the head and behind the head of the above beetle although these lines are less fuzzy and more like dashed lines.
- The fourth is similar to what happened with the pyramid effect where a smoothed square of the main background colour is divided with a rough line. One side of the square is smooth and the other side is roughened. This is seen on the top of the head.
