Guild Mission

Blaster's Bounty is a coop-style guild located in Seven Lakes dedicated to large mining/quarrying projects. The guilds' efforts resulted in the construction of a deep well, to produce petroleum, at 1611,1314 (7L, near SThought).

By-Laws

• Part 1. We will allow members to operate the deep well as they desire, rather than operating it only in guild-coordinated efforts. The petroleum raised by members will be split between winders and shareholders;
• Part 2. The split will be 40% to the winders and 60% split among the shareholders. The winders will provide their own food and the repair materials, after any repair materials on hand have been used up.
• Part 3. To facilitate such works, all shareholders will be raised to the rank that they can "use" the deep well (repair the well and remove the petroleum gathered). Winders would also split the shares up and either make distributions or put the shareholders petroleum into storage on site.
• Part 4. Egyptians outside the guild will be allowed to use the deep well as "renters". Renters will be temporarily accepted into the guild, a guild elder will repair the well (using materials provided by the renter), and the renter can wind as long as they choose. Upon completion, an elder will recover the petroleum and split it as normal between winders (renter) and shareholders. The renter is expected to leave the guild after the distribution is made. Guild members will normally have a priority for winding time, but a renter will not be bumped once they are accepted into the

Operating and Recordkeeping

After running the well, members are asked to:

1. Fill out the winding record (below) showing new depth and petroleum removed.
2. Calculate (Winders' Share) = (Petroleum Removed) x (0.40), rounded down.
3. Calculate (Shareholders' Share) = (Petroleum Removed) - (Winders' Share)
4. Calculate (Distribution) = (Shareholders' Share) / 11, rounded down. Fill out shares x distribution column of table.
5. Calculate (To Balance) = (Shareholders' Share) - ((Distribution) x 11 ). Enter this number in to balance column.
6. Calculate (Balance) = (previous Balance) + (To Balance). Enter this in the balance column; if it's excessive you may want to make a distribution to shareholders.
7. Put the (To Balance) amount of petrol in the Balance chest next to the well.
8. Put Remmao's share in the Overflow chest next to the well and update his total.
9. Put a (Distribution) amount of petrol in each member's chest. Note that Trin and Potamo get two shares. If there isn't enough space in a chest, put the excess in the Overflow chest and adjust the "Open Balance" column for the member.
10. Announce in guild chat the shares and distribution; advise members with full chests of the fact.

To Dump (everything below here...)

Lukeera was our first independent winder; she took the well from 3256 cubits to 4004 cubits, producing 4488 deben of petrol. Split is 1796 to Lukeera, 2692 to shareholders (168/share, 4 held).

We had well activity; three winding were made by Lukeera; Ur-man and Augusta; and Ur-man and Trin. These windings produced 3904 deben of petrol for shareholders.

• Lukeera took the well from 4005 to 4264 cubits, producing 1554 deben of petrol. Split is 622 to Lukeera and 932 to shareholders.
  
• Ur-man and Augusta took the well from 4264 to 4467 cubits, producing 1218 deben of petrol. Split is 488 to winders (244 each) and 730 to shareholders.
  
• Ur-man and Trin took the well from 4467 to 5090 cubits, producing 3738 deben on petrol. Split is 1496 to winders (499/997) and 2242 to shareholders.
  

In addition to the petrol produced, 1621 deben was on hand from previous windings and departed shareholders. Total petrol to be distributed was therefore 5525, or 14 shares x 394 deben, with 9 deben being held for future distributions. Shares for Miceless and Krankar were held because they have been offline a significant time. (CrimsonShadow has also been offline but his share is guilded)
