About Us
Our goal is to help new citizens learn the basic skills to get them started for life in Egypt. We introduce them to the seven disciplines of man and help them succeed in passing their initiation. After being initiated into all seven disciplines and being well situated in Egypt, our students graduate into the KMA alumni guild, Kush Mentor Graduates Association.
Basic Rules
-If you take something from a chest place it back in the chest your got it from after you use it or before you log out. If the item you took is consumed (e.g. straw) please replace it. This way if someone else needs to use it, it will always be there.
- Have fun! Remember this is a game.
- Avoid crude or discriminatory language.
- Be considerate to all players.
- Feel free to ask any question, and also help others by answering questions they may have.
- Help participate in camp chores when possible.
- Please don't upgrade your guild chest.
Camp Chores
I'm not saying that it is your DUTY to do camp chores. If you are near the guild compound and you have time, go for it. I have had quite a few of you ask me what you can do to help. (You have no idea how happy that makes me when a player appreciates the guild enough to want to give back. About brings tears of joy to my eyes.) So, here's a list of things that always need doing... if you feel like it.
- Grow onions for the sheep. Sheep will not reproduce or make dung if they are not fed. While you are there, slaughter them back to 3 males and 3 females.
- Make jugs. We like to give the new players 5 or 10 jugs to get them started. Our supply is really low right now.
- Make carp blades. We have an anvil now and the tools. Please DO NOT RUN OFF WITH THE TOOLS!!! We go through a carp blade every couple days so having extra would be great.
General Guild Info
- The two main elders in the guild right now are Jodpar and SunnyOne. They aren't the only elders but the ones being most active at this time. If you have any questions or concerns, talk to one of us/them/whatever the right pronoun is. If you are one of the other elders in the guild, don't be insulted that I didn't mention you. Just become more active and I'll add you to the list.
- If you think that the guild compound needs something, talk to one of the guild elders and then get the materials together for it. We want you to be happy here and if the compound needs something, we're open to that suggestion. Please do remember though that we are a mentoring guild. We are here for new players. If you are looking for advanced buildings, you may want to think about joining another guild, or building your own.
- Speaking of joining other guilds... You may, in fact you are encouraged to join other guilds. Unlike some of the other MMO's out there, you may be in as many guilds as you want. We won't think you are traitors or not loyal to us or anything if you find other groups to be a part of. When new players go out and find their own way in Egypt, we look at it like parents who are seeing their children leave the nest. No, that doesn't mean we think of you as children.... well, except for a couple who are children. heehee
- I seem to get the question about advancing in the guild a lot. We "graduate" new players and they get to the member level when we see that they have gotten past that "really newbie" stage. Beyond that, we will advance members as we see them taking a more active role in helping out the guild and especially in mentoring new players. We always want new mentors and it's perfect if one of our own becomes a mentor as they advance in the game.
KMA Midwinter Event
Sunday, February 17th at 2:00 pm Eastern time. Meet at Pharaoh's Field at 763 -3825 in Kush. Come empty.
If you plan to attend, please chat SunnyOne. Info on current strength and dex stats is needed.
Events
SmashStone Race - 3 contestants will compete at a time. Each will stand on one edge of the field with a medium stone and a sledgehammer in hand. On the signal will drop the stone and start smashing it. The winner will be the one that gets a stone across the field to the other side first. No stone may be picked up for any reason. In the event that no one crosses the line before all stones are gravel, the closest stone wins.
Beetle Race - Before the race, all contestants will choose a beetle. At the start of the race, the official will drop all beetles. The first beetle to step outside the bonfire circle wins.
Clunk!!! - The elder/mentors are IT. The members are the targets. Members must stay inside the boundaries at the edges of the field. The ITs catch the members by giving them 1000 clinker. Once you have been stopped this way, you can not drop the clinker. You are stuck. Last member still moving wins.
Treasure hunt - Secret Clue: It was created by an elder. It can be voted on. Don't fret! Just put on your thinking hats, umm caps, and solve the riddle.
