Overview

We have a large amount of quarrys of varied types ready to go and willing members who will teach others the ropes of prospecting.

Loot Sharing

If you prefer to prospect but not work quarries, leave a chat for an elder as to gearbox specs and quarry coords and you will receive a share (2) of the loot when quarry is worked.

The quarried marble/granite will be divided equally among the workers that participated on the quarry.Two marble/granite from previously prospected quarries is deposited into the Guild Trade Pool (chest at Guild Hall).

Only dishes with a +40 Perception or higher (for prospecting) or +40 Endurance (for working) .

All guild members can trade marble/granite with the pool based on the value (1:1 or 2:1).

Prospecting Techniques

Each prospector tunes to a type of marble at SArch, they can be different (if you're both tuned to same, do not prospect both when looking for a good spot).

Each prospector brings slate to prospect.

Bring or take materials for the planned number of quarries (materials chest at Guild Hall). A stone quarry costs 100 Bricks, 25 Slate, 15 Rope and 2 Pulleys to build.

A good view is double F8 : it orients top of screen to N and gives good overview to move around.

Watch out for nearby other players, since you prospect in area that is a circle in between you and nearest player !

The prospection leader will typically give the orders to his partner to move to a spot and when to prospect.

Find zone with desired granite/marble

If two pieces of slate shatter for 1 or both prospectors, start spiraling; if not both move 30 coords in N, E, S or W direction and prospect new zone.

Work Techniques

• Check the quarry to verify gearboxes needed and make sure it's still there. Sometimes if the secondary gearbox specs are noted, it has been worked. Leave a chat for Nao or lacy if you are making gears for a certain quarry and they will note you are working on it.
• Be sure to carry enough boards for building a small marker chest when quarry is finished. We prefer you notify an elder to salvage and mark however for the time being.

Work leader installs the gearbox.

Alphabetic method : each worker sorts the options alphabetically, each worker clicks the Nth option of that sorted list. There will be usually 3 workers, sometimes 4 if the required gearbox is not available and very expensive to make.

This method is fast (no chat needed, just concentration) with Endurance around 50. You can even beat the speed of the animation. After clicking the work option, click on the pinned window title frequently to refresh it and to see the new options as fast as possible, you don't have to wait for the animation to complete.

After collapse or when work is stopped, remove the gearbox. Notify Elder to update this Wiki page with the result and who participated. Take the loot and give the shares. Deposit prospectors share 2 in trade pool chest by guild hall, and notify elder.

Salvaging

Leave a chat to notify an Elder with Salvage 7 skill to tear down the quarries for maximum return of resources. DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE THE GEARBOX BEFORE SALVAGING PLEASE.

For now, we prefer you leave a chat for an elder to do the following at this time.Build a small chest at the location where the recovered materials land, label the chest with "<stone/marble type> was here". This will let other know there is an empty vein under the chest (empty veins STILL give 2 shattered when prospecting).
