So, you're here. Reading this page. Congratulations! :) We're the Sherpas of Shangri-La, a primary home guild located in scenic Shangri-La (in lovely Lower Egypt. Upper Lower Egypt, actually. (Southish in Lower Egypt, not northish in Upper Egypt.))
This page will attempt to serve both as a description of who we are, what we do, and why we're here, as well as a resource to members.

Who we are:
Just a loose accumulation of player (mainly myself, hoping to expand,) working together for the benefit of all. Seeing as how a group of cooperative players can get so much further than that same group all working seperately, we aim to provide direction and a common sense of purpose for the benefit of all.
What we do:
Support each other.
Joke with each other.
Have fun working with each other.
And generally enjoy the good time that is to be had playing A Tale In The Desert.
Why we're here:
Because there's nowhere else we'd rather be.

Membership in the Sherpas of Shangri-La is by application only. You have to ask before you can be accepted. It generally helps if we already know you, so spend some time getting to know the current members. Don't be afraid to /chat Btep though. We want to have a good time, and we want you to have a good time, and if it'll work out, we want you to have a good time with us.
Guild Philosophy!
The Guild is a place to hang out, a place to work, and a place to have fun.
What The Guild Provides:

What The Guild Expects in Return:
- Friendliness.
- Helpfulness.
- Give advice when you can.
- Communal Labor.
Subtext!
The guild provides access to a number of buildings to make everyone's play time more enjoyable. These buildings, unfortunately, didn't grow on trees. When it comes time to build a new building or series of buildings, especially expensive ones, it is expected that members will help in this effort.
It is not required to help other members with their personal projects or tests, but if you feel enclined to do so, then great! Remember, the person who you help pass the Test of Towers today may help you pass it next month. :)
