This is the thistle that I use to find the daily voids and is displayed below with no daily voids at Sun0. You will see (+X) on the chart on some of the ticks for Pot, Nit, H2O, and Oxy. That is the number of times to press that button while growing to get that value.
Then I grow this thistle just after 12:00AM game time. If you look at the chart below you will see that the values transition from nutrient to nutrient many times. The more the values move around the easier it is to spot where the voids are. In addition to that, this recipe is pretty easy to remember because you add Pot and Nit on the 10 ticks and you add H2O and Oxy on the 10s then 5s.
As the test thistle is growing you should take a screenshot every 7-8 ticks (the window only dispalys 10 at once.) This will allow you to compare the results that you found to the reference. Once you are armed with the screenshots of the actual values from that day, the reference chart, and hopefully the spiffy Twisted Thisle spreadsheet, you are ready to find the voids. Start at Tick 0 and match the values that you think you should get (the chart) to the values in your screen shots. Where they are different is where you should look at for the voids.
If you are using our spreadsheet, all you have to do is go to the page for the individual tick where the numbers start to deviate and look at the individual tick to see where nutrients are being converted that shouldn't be. When you have determined what you think the void is go back to the master sheet, and set the Daily Void value for that conversion to 0 from 1. You should see the values on the sheet get closer to what you have one your screenshots. Then continue this process down from Tick 0 down to Tick 40. When the spreadsheet matches the screenshots, then you should have the voids for the day.
Now the caveat to this is that if a conversion is not touched by the test run due to lack of nutrients during the conditions for that conversion it is possible that you may not see all of the voids for the day. The below thistle is set up to avoid this, but you may see some discrepancies on later runs if you are specifically using certain conversions that may have been missed during your test run. That is fine. If you see deviation, rerun that same recipe but take screen shots and repeat this process to determine the additional missing void.
And, as always, while the spread sheet is pretty darn accurate right now, there could be additional conversions that we are missing or have incorrect values on. If you see consistant discrepancies that cannot be explained by voids, please drop us a note and let us know so we can investigate. Thanks.

This reference chart gives you data on all conversions that you should be able to see as active at 0 sun. The only exception would be Asc -> Thi whenever Asc->Nia is not one of the daily voids. To get info on that, start the garden at 33 sun and add water twice. Should you immediately get 3 Thi, the conversion is active.
Note that when ran at 33 Sun, the reference chart here also gives info on ALL conversions that could be possibly active then.
