Noreferti: We must prepare my love! We do not want to be caught unprepared for your…I mean, our, passage into the afterlife!
Kaayru: /me looks uncomfortable
Nore: First we will need water and wine with which to wash your, I mean, our bodies. I do not think we have any of that on hand, do we?
Kaayru: I think you drank all of our wine, my dearest wife.
Nore: /me looks at the travelers.
Perhaps these citizens would be willing to donate their time and resources to help us prepare for this most sacred journey to the underworld?
/me looks at you hopefully.
So we would need a bottle of wine, and a jug of water…
Kaayru: Wouldn’t we need 2 bottles of wine and 2 jugs of water?
Nore: Oh yes, how silly of me, of course we would need 2 of everything, my dearest darling. So then we would need a knife with which to make a cut in the body to remove the organs, I think we could live with just one of those... Then we would need some salt with which to pack your organs…
Kaayru: *OUR* organs…
Nore: Yes of course, our organs, that is what I said isn’t it? Pack our organs into the Canopic jars. Thank goodness we have the Canopic Jars already. Let’s see, then we need to pack you in the salt for forty days, and then I will have to…
Kaayru clears his throat
Nore: Oh honestly, my dear, these kind citizens probably think you don’t trust me, how awful. Then we need some more water to wash out all the salt and some oil to cover the skin and keep it as beautiful as your skin is now…our skin is now!
Then all we need is a piece of linen to wrap the body in.
Kaayru: *Two* pieces!
Nore: Well of course two pieces, honestly!
So then to summarize: Step one requires 2 bottles of wine and 2 jugs of water. Step two requires a knife and some salt. Step three requires two jugs of water and some oil. Step four requires two pieces of linen. We couldn’t ask you to give us the items for all 4 of the steps, although that would be MOST welcome! The more steps you can help us prepare for the better off we will be. But please do not only give part of a step, each step must be all or nothing! Well then, good luck, and thank you so much!
Kaayru: /me looks worried as the travelers leave him alone with his wife.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Upon delivery of the items:
Nore: Oh how wonderful! Thank you so much for your help. Come Kaayru, let’s go look at the sunset from the cliff.
Kaayru: Yes, dear one.
/me looks forlornly at the travelers as they go their separate ways.
=French Translation (Kaayru)= Oh hey they didn't send me their translation since they can speak French! Nevermind hehe.
