I suggest all otter hunters take LOTS of extra boards. It seems the otters in Tale 3 are much more ravenous for boards than they were in Tale 2. My first otter ate 40 boards. Perhaps if you were to map the otter holes and the subterranean tunnels, you might devise a strategy with only 5 boards left standing. Every time I inserted a 6th board, one was eaten. -- RexBaron
In T2, I noticed that each otter hole led to either two or three others. From there, it was a simple matter to track the routes down and block the holes -- given sufficient time. Just be sure to remove some boards before they get eaten. -- Sedelyan
I have caught all 4 of my otters with less than 20 boards. Last three were only around 10. I just plugged the previous hole they were in and only the first one ate a couple of the boards. -- Potamo
I spotted four otter holes near the S.Arch in LE near my sculpture and not far from my camp. I didn't know what to do with them so just petted them on the head and went my way. They were not there the next morning. -- Ankha
