The story starts when I was told by a friend that he planned on quiting the game in a few days. I had thought about doing something to my "adversary" for quite awhile, but always feared retaliation. With my friend quitting..my idea now had the perfect blind! :)
I had come up with the idea of building one wood bonfires all over said players CP. But of course, all he had to do was check the ownership of the bonfires and I'm busted. I had thought about building the bonfires and giving them to another player, but of course, the original builders name (mine) would still be there to see.
When I related my idea to my friend, he immediatly jumped at the chance to play this prank before he said goodbye to Egypt forever.
So, when the time arrived that we knew my adversary would not be online came.....my friend proceded to build...500 one wood bonfires throughout the CP of...(we'll call him...."Dr. Evil")....in about every open spot in his rather large CP. Practically every open space in the compound was littered with bonfires. Having completed this task....we said our goodbyes and my friend quit the game.
The next time "Dr. Evil" logged on he imediately went into a frenzy. The common chats were filled with his rantings about this player, who he had never even had a chat with, had defiled his CP. Needless to say, I enjoyed this moment. There was a slight bit of guilt over causing "Dr. Evil" so much agnst, but I quickly got over it when I remembered how much stress he had caused me.
Of course...he would be able to dismantle the bonfires in 7 days, so I knew that the prank was not permanent. A part of me thinks that no one should cause any player this kind of grief, but if you knew this player, you would applaud me I think :)
