Every week or so, an event for an ice sculpture competition would start.
Participants would visit a high snow-covered mountain, select a suitable block of ice and move it to the event location. Working an ice block could look similar to a three dimensional version of blacksmithing or gem cutting, but with very different tools. You get a collection of drills, saws and files that allows to manipulate every point of the ice block precisely (though every change removes some ice, there is no way to glue it back on).
After a day, all sculptures would become open for voting for 5 days. Then they are melted away.
Passes would work like pyrotechnics, you need to be once in top 1/2, once in top 1/3 and once in top 1/4 of an event.
I'd like it if these sculptures remained in the world for people to appreciate. Maybe they could be made out of crystal, instead of ice? ~Slyfeind-Hotep
