I haven't been playing this game for very long, but once I found out that you could tend vines and make wine, I knew I was going to be hooked. I took it upon myself to charge headlong into the world of viticulture and haven't looked back.
At this present time, I currently own 8 vineyards, but tend 12 total. I am trying to gather the materials to expand to 16 personal vineyards for a total of 20.
I am seeking anyone who can make small barrels, I have supplies but not the brass to get the skill.
Anyhow, as for this spreadsheet, I created it primarily because I was getting irritated with the Wiki being down when I needed critical data. A side advantage is, that with the data in spreadsheet format, I can run complex data analysis to find perfect tend sequence for a given goal.
For instance, I can come up with an algorithm to determine the optimal grape sugar, or the optimal blend of quality, grapes, and sugar. I can determine the theoretical maximum yield, the maximum yield for a specific quality, or quickly tell what my end product will be if I know the tend sequence of a specific vineyard.
One of the biggest advantages is that this standardizes the format of various vine data. Different users on the Wiki use some similar formats and notations, but they are still very different and can be confusing, especially for a new player like me. I adopted a hybrid version of a format similar to what Tedra has been using.
As an example. I entered the data from Tedra Prime and Calen #25. You can see from the wiki that these 2 vines were displayed in a VASTLY different format. Tedra Prime data is listed in multiple places.
Further, I have also demonstrated the ease with which you can reorder the data in the spreadsheet. Tedra Prime tend methods are listed with highest quality at the top and lowest at the bottom.
All of the data in the sheet so far is data ripped straight from the Wiki. Not all of this data is verified and in fact some of it was conflicting. I used my best judgement but take no responsibility for any data that is not correct (as I did not come up with it). However, I will be more than happy to make any corrections that you point out.
