In the interest of preserving the status quo of guilds while providing a greater degree of flexibility to elders and other members, we hereby propose the following:
That on a guild hall, any elder may set permissions for all buildings owned by that guild, as per the following:
- The ability to tear down a building can be restricted to Fellow, Patriarch, and/or Elder, with permissions inherited by higher-ranking members.
- The ability to transfer ownership of guild owned buildings may be restricted likewise.
- The ability to change the /info text of the guild, the guild's nickname, or any messages on the guild, may also be restricted to those, with the addition of Member and Kinsman.
Additionally, we request the following, to simplify the process of invitation and ranking; this part of the law need not be accepted by Pharaoh, and if declined shall have no effect on acceptance of the other portions...
- That an elder may set a permission on the guild hall for Fellows and/or Patriarchs to allow a requesting citizen into a guild with the rank of "Visitor", said rank having no access to guild buildings save for those made public. An option is to be added to the guild hall to allow or prevent Visitors from speaking in the channel, said option accessible only by the Elders. Any elder may 'promote' a member from Visitor to Initiate by visiting the guild hall and selecting their name, similar to ordinary acceptance.
