This is a rewrite of the DPPRA for T4, under the name "Departed Persons Act" - the original DPA.
-- The Departed Persons Act: T4 Revision --
We, the citizens of Egypt, hereby place the following in writing as law:
- 1. That an account be marked as 'departed' if they fall under one of the following:
- a. That they are an expired, quit, dead, exiled, or similarly inaccessible account who has been in that state for 7 days; and/or
- b. That they are a trial account who has not logged on for 7 days.
- 2. That a guild be marked as 'departed' if every elder has been departed for 7 days.
- Seven TeppyDays after an account is marked as departed, any player may claim buildings owned by that account through this act, and be provided with a choice to either transfer ownership to themselves, or to tear the applicable building down.
- Once a guild hall is departed, the highest-ranking member who has logged in within 14 days may promote themselves to an Elder. Once a guild hall has qualified as departed for seven days, anyone may seize the rank of 'elder' in that guild at the guild hall. Guild halls may not be torn down under this law, even if they may be by the guild elders. If a guild hall reaches departed status, its location may be checked in /info regardless of its hidden state.
- A person may designate an 'heir' under this law. An heir is a single account, which is granted access to the departed's buildings seven days before anyone else - immediately upon 'departed' status. Heirs may be changed at any time; if an account quits with a designated heir, the heir will be notified through a pop-up.
- Most Test buildings may be either claimed or torn down by this law, except where it would interfere with the operation of the Test itself. Art buildings may be claimed, but they may not pass under the new owner, and cannot be modified after being claimed. Similarly, Thought buildings will be disqualified from judging until a new puzzle is inputted; sculptures may only be torn down through this law if they have at least 5 more negative votes than positive.
- Any paid account may designate a single container they own as 'precious', provided it is not inside a compound; said building may not be claimed via the DPA save by their heir. If no heir is designated, the building may not be claimed via the DPA; if it is transferred in any way, it is no longer precious.
- Finally, compounds which have reached 0% may be claimed or torn down by any player 21 days after they reach 0%; the compound may then not be claimed in the same way for another 24 hours. Compounds which are repaired within that grace period do not apply.
