Temples of Worship

From within Egypt, a great cry arose among the people challenging the rise of technology with a demand for the spiritual needs of the people to be met as well. The gods have not blessed us as they did in the days of old when our fathers and mothers would tend to them as dilligently as they tended to their own needs.

We must seek out their blessings and draw their attentions back to our land that suffers without them, the fertility is waining and the desert encroaches on us!

We must therefore build seven great temples to the greatness of our gods: to Ra, to Horus, to Bastet, to Osiris, to Thoth, to Isis and to Amun. To each of these temples we must bring our offerings, the finest that can be offered for the restoration of our gods that they might smile once more upon us and bless us.

To these temples we must bring the best that can be created of food, wine and beer that our harvests might be blessed. We must bring great quantities of milk and meat that we might entice the sacred cats to return to our land. We must bring the best of all our hands create that our gods will accept and reward our service to them.

Let priests rise from among the people to guide us in all our spiritual persuits that the soul of Egypt be balanced with the skill of Egypt.

In practice

Seven temples of worship to balace the seven schools of technology. Seven High Priests/Priestesses to balance the Seven Oracles. They would work on the same principles as the Universities where you unlock the higher levels of 'blessing' by bringing resources as offerings to the god of that temple.

The unlocking of the spiritual blessings of each temple would allow either a blessing or an ability to be available to the people of Egypt. Among them would be the ability to construct Shrines to one of the gods. It would be built near a compound, house or guild house and proper offerings to the shrine would curry the favor of that god, blessing all that was done within the scope of that god.
