- Don't worry about perfection. It's perfectly fine to start a new topic with a quick overview or collection of random facts; you may inspire someone else to expand on what you've started.
- Respect copyrights. Do not copy text from another source without permission of the author.
- Use [[explicit links]], rather than WikiWords.
- Avoid excessive linkage. Don't link to the same topic several times in a row just because you used its name several times. For example, in the following paragraph only the first occurance of the word "tests" needs to be a link:
There are many different styles of play. While some people attempt to pass as many tests as possible, others may never pass any tests during their time in game.
- Avoid opinion in main article text. The wiki is a manual, not an editorial. If you want to add comments or discussion to a topic, do so at the bottom, offset from the main topic with a dash. (----)
- Use headers appropriately--a top-level division should use a level one heading. (= Like this =) Don't use level two headings instead just because you don't like the way the big blue bars look -- that's what Styles are for.
- Adding a few links to the bottom of an article that may also be of interest is recommended, but keep in mind that a user can also click on the title at the top to see articles that link to the one they're viewing.
- If you're going to be editing a page for a while, and want to avoid conflicts with other editors, start out by updating it to put a big "Editing--do not touch" at the top. (And then take it off when you're done, of course.)
- When appropriate, add the page to the topic pages with a "$GUIDE" or "$ATLAS" statement. (See the Formatting topic for more information.)

Big blue bars? Aren't they big brown bars? Is the blue a relic of a former style, maybe?
