Walkthough

This isn't an optimized path, it is just a step-by-step path. You can certainly doing things like gather all the wood and slate you need before visiting the school for the first time.

Beyond Citizenship

Now that you're a citizen, new paths have opened up for you. There are new skills available at the schools and you can start your initiation in each of the 7 disciplines.

Now would be a good time to do some exploring of the world. Pick up your brick rack(s) and tear down your wood plane (you don't get anything back, but it will reduce the clutter and you will want to build a new wood plane after you find a nice place to settle. Do NOT start building more items where you built the wood plane - it isn't a good spot and you will regret it later - the cost to rebuild the wood plane is negligible compared to the new structures you will soon be building.

One way to start exploring would be to visit each one of each disciplines school/university and sign up for the initiation tasks. Press F3 to bring up the map of your area and plot a route that will bring you to a school or university. In particular you'll want to visit the University of Worship where they will also give you some seeds. You can only get seeds from a particular University once, but you can get visit other UWorship to get more (hopefully different) seeds. The Universities may also offer other skills you can learn for free.

You may also wish to join one or more guilds if you haven't already. Guilds are both a way to share items and to share information. Joining a guild does not put you under any obligation to the guild and you can always quit the guild later. There is no limit on the number of guilds you can join. YOu may wish to read the guild messages (by clicking on the guild building) to learn more about the guild before applying. In some cases you will get accepted into a guild faster if you send a /chat or /tell to an elder of the guild so they know they should visit the guild building to accept you in to the guild.

Both the SArch and SArt have more skills you'll want to get. SArch has Compound Construction and Pottery (note: pottery wasn't available prior to becoming a citizen). SArt has flax related skills. Note that you won't have the tuition for Pottery, but try getting it anyway - you'll get the water jug you'll need for gathering the tuition.
