Sand Blooms

I'd like to tell you the story of the Legend of the Sand Bloom, perhaps just a myth, but perhaps not. Many years ago, when the technology of Botanical Identification was not well developed, there lived a man who made a study of Egypt's vegetation. One day during his studies he came across a plant that he had never seen before. An odd little flower, but so delicate! He tended this flower, knowing that with care it could become one of great beauty. But the season was changing fast, and the little plant didn't make it. Every year at the same time he searched for this strange flower. He never found it. And there is no known species in Egypt as he described - in the many years since his death, no such flower has turned up. However, technology is better these days. Botanical Identification is a well developed science. And it's nearly that time of year. Perhaps the Sand Bloom is just a legend. But maybe not.
-- Pharaoh

Sand blooms appeared for approximately seven hours. A small number were located by enterprising hunters. Sacrifice, Sunrise, and Lemon Drop strains were discovered.

Sand Bloom:Corona was awarded as a Contest of Seven prize.

Sand Bloom:Cookie Jar was awarded as a flower contest prize.
