Note that Bigboy has posted some info on getting Sphinx chimes on the acoustics lab page. See Chimetrails. His instructions are:

I have found that chimes in all labs follow set routes though different chimes, Now what causes a shift along a route depends on the lab, also some routes are harder for some rods.
Here is a map of some of the chimes, just follow the arrows, it is only 1/2 finished so there might be gaps. It is in excel format and the black lines are just seperators.
The way to use it is to start at a blue chime (starting) and try random treatments, it will move in one of the arrow directions, if it moves you can record that treatment and use it later to do the same thing. (Red are sphinx chimes)

Outside of Sinai, Antichaos, Tamutnefret, Solalique, Bigboy, Sigil, and Akela are renowned for their chime making skills. We may want to enlist them

One way to coordinate would be to have a table of the chimes that are possible. The idea is to indicate if you can make any of these chimes. Feel free to modify this if you can think of a better way. :-)
