(apologies if this is already the plan, but... well, you know, want to make sure bases are covered ...)

SunnyOne got the ball rolling on a Lesser Sphinx for South Egypt with some chests and contest booths located across the road north of the SE Plaza mega.
Below are the build requirements for the Sphinx and what we have currently collected.

Fine Glass Rods needed for treatment at time of construction
Item | Requirement | On Site | Pledge | Still Need |
Fine Glass Rods | 196 (at least) | 199 | working this, Akela | 0 |
-- note that because the requirements vary by construction site, goal should be AT LEAST 7*28 fine glass rods, and then someone who knows chimes needs to salvage and rebuild the site until 7 easy-ish ones are required.
Given the new requirements, here is a new idea for this section. For chime makers, please list chimes you know how to make reliably, and rate the quickness/ease to make them. (with 0 being easiest/fastest -- I am thinking of maybe using number of treatment steps as the rating. If you can make it but don't know exact number, just estimate). That way, we can have a list of what to shoot for when putting up, tearing down, putting up con site, looking for a suitable list of chimes. :) [Actually, as it turns out, no need to tear down site -- just select project, clear project, lather, rinse, repeat.]

For the Lotus Lake public lab, I have started listing "recipes" for sphinx chimes on this Chimes page.
Note that Bigboy has posted some info on getting Sphinx chimes on the acoustics lab page. See Chimetrails. His instructions are:
I have found that chimes in all labs follow set routes though different chimes, Now what causes a shift along a route depends on the lab, also some routes are harder for some rods.Of course, don't miss Tamutnefret's excellent page, http://atitd.little-possums.net/acoustic-lab.html
Here is a map of some of the chimes, just follow the arrows, it is only 1/2 finished so there might be gaps. It is in excel format and the black lines are just seperators.
The way to use it is to start at a blue chime (starting) and try random treatments, it will move in one of the arrow directions, if it moves you can record that treatment and use it later to do the same thing. (Red are sphinx chimes)
