The Test Of The Vigil

Conduct a Vigil at a Sacrificial Bonfire. Visions will come to those around the bonfire, illuminating the required offerings. Scoring is based on the length of the Vigil, and your participation.

Overview

A Sacrificial Bonfire can be built near any altar. Requirements are:

The bonfire will disappear when the vigil ends. Tearing down a sacrificial bonfire while a vigil is in progress results in zero points earned.

Lighting the fire begins a vigil. While the fire is lit, approximately every 15 minutes (at first) a sound will be heard and a new offering for the gods will be requested. Multiple such requests can be 'active' at any given time, more will continue to be added to the list every so often. The amount of time between requests slowly decreases. After approximately 9-10 hours, new requests seemed to come every 60 seconds.

If any sacrifice is not made before its two-hour timer expires, the vigil ends. Time remaining is indicated in the "Sacrifices..." menu. A sacrifice can be made only once; as soon as somebody provides the requested materials the option will be removed from the menu. Only the person who made the sacrifice will recieve points.

Scoring

No points are awarded until a vigil ends. Each person recieves 1 point for each sacrifice they made during that vigil, multiplied by the number of total sacrifices made by everyone (including them). So if you made 3 sacrifices out of 12 total, you recieve (3 * 12) = 36 points.

The seven players with the highest score pass the test on Sunday.

Sacrifices

Sacrifices seem to be randomly selected from a list. Sacrifices seen so far include:

Other types of cut gems have also been requested.
