Conflict in the Islands

Purpose: This bill proposes a common arena, the Welcome Island, for selected Tests of Conflict, thereby improving support for recent arrivals by drawing more Mentors to the Welcome Island. This bill also promotes the Discipline of Conflict among both recent arrivals and Mentors.

Pre-Law Status: When a Mentor willingly leaves the Welcome Island via the Welcome Banner, the Mentor loses their Island Chat channel.

Pre-Law Status: Recent arrivals can see the bubbles and triangles, but they cannot play Reflections as they have no means of signing up for the Initiation to Conflict.

Change a) The Island Chat channel shall be converted to a <game month> chat channel (Akhet I, Akhet II, etc.) that lasts for approximately 15 days real time. Near the mid-point of the subsequent game month the channel for the previous game month shall be shut down.

Change b) Mentors shall retain their <game month> chat channel when they return to the mainland via the Welcome Banner, with the understanding that the channel is to be used only for the support of recent arrivals.

Change c) A University of Conflict that supports signups for Initiation to Conflict, or some other means of participating in Reflections, shall be afforded to recent arrivals who are still on the Welcome Island.

Change d) Two Yokir Desks and a Zhadu Court shall be added on the Welcome Island, preferably in the area near the Altar.
