Monument Tests > The Test Of The Servant

Entering Service

Any citizen may visit any School or University and request a Service Token. Service Tokens bear the name of the citizen to whom they are issued. They are non-transferable and may not be stashed (like cicadas), but they may be returned to any School or University by the citizen to whom they were issued, should they choose to do so to end participation in this test. A citzen may request only one token at a time, but once used, may request another, for each 30 days they have been a paid account.

Any citizen who is initiated to Leadership may visit any University of Leadership and place themselves in the Servant's Pool, to await a summons to service.

Every three hours (real time), a random service token in the possession of a player who is logged in will activate. The Token Holder will recieve a pop-up message that reads "You Service Token has activated. Do you wish to summon a servant?" If they choose to summon a Servant, a random member of the Servant's Pool who is currently logged in will recieve a corresponding Pop-up window that reads "A citizen is in need of assistance, do you answer the call?" If the Servant answers, they are immediatelly teleported to the Token Holder. For one hour real time following this, the Servant is in the service of the Token Holder and can be compelled to labor.

If a Token Holder chooses not to summon a Servant, another random Token activates, and the process begins again, continuing until a Token Holder chooses to summon a servant, or until all Token Holders currently logged in have been asked and have refused.

If a Servant chooses not to answer the summons, another random Servant is chosen, until one answers, or all Servants in the Pool currently logged in have been asked and have refused.

While in Service

After arrival, the Servant is restricted in many ways:

They may not use any form of teleportation or instant travel.

They may cast no votes, including any test with a voting compenent in any discipline, as well as ballots and elections.

Any Servant summoned who also happens to have at their disposal a leadership reward/power such as Hegemon or Demi-Pharaoh, will also be unable to use those powers for the duration of service. Servants may use, if they possess, any bonuses to teaching of skills which they may have earned.

While in Service, a Servant may not access any guild chat, nor any private chat, nor use the /tell command. They are only able to communicate in "main".

During the hour of Service, the Token Holder may request performance of any task not restricted by the above. Servants are not required to follow the commands of the Token Holder; they may refuse tasks, or simply be incapable of them. The judgement of the Servant's quality of service is entirely at the discretion of the Token Holder. Servants may teach, labor and elsewise lend assistance to a Token Holder.

The End of Service

After the hour of Service has ended, The Token Holder will recieve another pop-up window that reads "The Servant has discharged their full hour of Service. Do you wish to reward their efforts by giving them your Service Token?" If yes, the token, bearing the Token Holder's name, is transfered to the Servant. If no, the Servant departs emptyhanded.

Once service has ended, all restrictions listed above are lifted.

Passing the Test

Collect 14 Tokens.
