Made in a
Clinker Vat.
Recipe: Mix 10 Bauxite, 10 Gypsum and 800 clinker, resulting in 100 Cement.
For this use, the clinker vat must be fueled. A charcoal fueled clinker vat requires 800 charcoal.
The vat must also have a full water reservoir, requiring 500 water. The water is not consumed in the process.
Procedure:
Mixing a batch of cement takes about 80 stirs, completed in less than an hour. Once you start the process, you must stir it every so often, or the batch turns into a rock, and is unusable.
- The stir period starts out at 100 seconds, but gets shorter as time goes on. At the end, it's 12 seconds.
- Stirring starts both an END timer and a STR timer, both of which are about 45 seconds at END/STR 0. Thus, while you can start a batch solo, even with without END/STR food, you will need a group of people and coordination, or good END/STR food solo to finish a batch.
- each time you stir, you will be told what percent done the batch is. DO NOT STOP STIRRING until the batch is done (IE you can take cement from the vat), even if it says 100% done. Stopping early is a recipe for heartbreak.
a group of 5 people, with +8 END/STR food can easily finish a batch of cement.
