Bauxite is found digging on the east side of the map (exact range from the edge unknown). Just dig for stones as usual (ie. it must be on a dirt patch) and bauxite will pop (will take a few minutes before it begins to).
Bauxite is used, along with an equal quantity of gypsum, as an ingredient in making cement.
Although bauxite is best known in real life as the ore from which aluminum is extracted, it is not so in Egypt. The only way to obtain aluminum in the game, as with any other metal, is through mining.
