Ordinary table salt. Used to help preserve meals prepared in a
kitchen, and is also a component in
acid manufacturing.
Egypt obtains its salt from coconut water. With 2 levels of the Desiccation skill, 3 salt can be made from 25 coconut water by boiling it in a kettle, in a procedure similar to that for potash. This does not require additional water.
Known uses:
- 1 salt and 25 sulphurous water can be made into 3 acid in a kettle
- 1 salt added to food extends the time before it spoils to 6 days
- 5 salt required by SArt for Desiccation skill
