''The goal of this test is to complete the Statue of Octec's Ghost. The first step is to build it using a small construction site. The second step is to activate it.
Internally, the Statue of Octec's Ghost is a peculiar machine. Turning it on requires 20 devices called the Crystal Hieroglyphs. You must obtain all 20.
The 20 crystal types are:

- Dua
- Hapy
- Hathor
- Horus
- Isis
- Maat
- Min
- Montu
- Osiris
- Set
- Shu

- Thoth

Over time, the Schools of Architecture will provide you with 12 Crystal Hieroglyphs. Unfortunately, all 12 will be the same. You need 20 hieroglyphs which are all different from each other to activate the statue. You will have to trade for the Hieroglyphs that you need.''

A Statue of Octec's ghost is built at a small construction site, and requires the following:
- 5 cable
- 30 small gears
- 60 glass rods
- 300 silver
- 120 cut stone
- 4 oyster shell marble
- 4 white travertine
Once you have built the statue, it will be possible to install glyphs (crystals) in it. Once all 20 glyphs are installed, the statue can be activated to pass the test. When activated, the crystals will begin to spin. Until the statue is activate, glyphs may be installed and removed.
An activated statue gives the option to install a supplemental set of 20 glyphs. If you install any supplemental crystals, they may not be removed. In Tale 1, a statue with two full sets of glyphs had a special reward -- the ability to make diamond-tipped shovels. It is currently unknown if there is a similar reward in Tale 2, or what sort of reward it may be.

Checking my statue today (which has a full set of supplemental crystals, it offered me an option to take "Mechanical Heart (1)". I took it, and the crystals are still spinning, and there is no option to put it back. I do, however, now have the Ancient Mechanics skill. I also, with END 0, havea 39-second timer on pushing blocks.
(Normal block pushing is 40 seconds, so I'm guessing to get 39 you pushed it again a second to late, don't think thats any different than normal)

I installed a second set in my Octec and could remove a mechanical heart. Have not yet found a use for it. - singh
