 ash production Analysis page

syntax of abriviations

symbol meaning
# any number
#-> go from # heat down to cooldown
-># go from unfired bonfire to # heat
#-># get the heat from # on left to # on right
#<-># ocilate heat between the #s

charcoal

using data i got from Bonfires
Wood CC
1-10 0
11-15 1
16-21 2
24, 28 3
29, 30, 32, 36 4
40, 44, 48, 50, 60, 64 5

acording to my simulation of higher values of wood I've found a major problem to explain how they all produce 5 charcoal using the 4 through 9 heat range. I think the actual range is 4 to 8.

min heat max heat destroy heat Peak Heat CC posible
4910 10 5.5 YES
4910 11 4.5 NO
4911 10 6 NO
4911 11 5.5 YES
4812+ 5 0.5 YES
4812+ 5 1.5 YES
4812+ 6 2.5 YES

carrots

real experimental fires

#carots bonfire run rules ash produced
1 80 ->15, add carrots , 15-> 1
2 32 ->18 , add carrots , 18-> 4
3 72 ->17 ,add carrots 17<->16 13
4 80 ->17~ ,add carrots 17~<->`5~ 15
540->13 ,add carrots 13->16-> 4
640 ->20 add carrots,20-> 7
780 ->32 add carrots,32-> 4
8 152 ->14 add carrots 14->24-> 28

acording to the result of #4 where 10*8 carrots were burned and yielded 15 ash it seems like you get 1.5 carrots per ash which work for experiment 13 since 1.5*72/8= 13.5. #2 along with #4 also helped with the range since the result of #2 showed only 24 carrots produced ash. I still need to confirm full range because of the uncertainty of #2 . #1 shows that the minimum heat is 15 or 14 .

after more testing the high range of carrots was pushed to 24 and confirmed by #8.

garlic

real experimental fires data was moved to [[Bonfires/Data]|

after reviewing it garlic burns 4 per tick and make 11/9 ash

leeks

# leeks bonfire run rules ash produced
1 200 ->41 , add leeks 41-> 0

Simulator

intruduction

an excel bonfire simulator is a ziped xls file on the buttom should be downloaded and modified to create a fairly acurate simulation of how bonfires work in atitd.

Thank you for this! It was really helpful in understanding what bonfires do exactly. Other explanations and "canned" recipies left me confused. Great tool! -- IreneLew?

features

row/column functionality

I bolded important notes you should consider while using the simulator.

AREA/Box function
columns A through K tracking values Do not edit
columns L through U add values change the fields to add things
column V , AC Through AE product tracker , Do not edit
column AF1 through AL11 results and parameters, change the parameters as people discover the values
AK3 destroy heat for CC
AK4 through AK11 consumed heat for raw material
AF15 through AI17 target heat to size of fire calculation utility
AF20 through AG24 some statistics
Column AP through AW IGNORE old unadjusted statistics may or may not work
column U through AB hidden lines to do indevidual ash calculations
