The Ka Tomb is used in the Test of Ka to gain points towards passing the test.
The Ka Tomb initially holds 500 boxes. It can be upgraded 6 times; each upgrade adds 250 boxes to maximum capacity of 2000 boxes.
The initial upgrade costs:
The cost of each subsequent upgrade grows by 500 boards, 250 wood, 500 nails, 10 cuttable stones, and 1 medium quartz.
Before deciding whether or not to upgrade your tomb, note that 500 Ka Boxes will take 12,000 bolts, 6000 boards, 6000 assorted treated metal, around 1500 assorted small gems, and over 100 silk.
Pluribus: I should point out that the local health code requires tombs to be built in very dry areas away from other buildings. The dead and the living shall not mix.
The restriction on building the Ka Tomb seems to be that there must be about 5 coords of uninterrupted sandy terrain (except for other Ka Tombs, see below) on all sides of your Ka Tomb.
Me123: ka tombs are for the dead, so can two of those be placed close to each other?
Pluribus: Yes, multiple tombs can be placed together... and are encouraged :-)
It is not yet known what difference building two Ka Tombs close together will make, possible effects may be to change the number of points scored for either (or both) tombs or possibly to change the requirements for the Ka Boxes required for either (or both) tombs.
