Fishing Festivals

Periodically Fishing festivals are organised by the Events Team. Usually, the aim is to catch the largest fish of a certain type, the largest amount of a certain type of fish or the most fish of any type in a certain period of time. Exact details vary from contest to contest. Type /join Events to join the Events channel and read details of the current contest.

Speed food helps to catch larger fish. The different fishing poles (e.g. Huntsman's Fishing Pole) may also offer advantages.

Current Festival

Egyptian Fishing Marathon

for 8 days

From the in game calendar - 'In this event, which last for one week, you will have seven rounds of three game hours each to do what the event request. Prizes will be distributed for each of these rounds with 14 winners. Round times are random so make sure you keep an eye out for them.'

Rounds are announced in System when they begin.

Kaayru: Hi Egypt. :-)
Kaayru: A few words about the Fishing Marathon... There will be seven fishing sessions, each lasting 3 game hours.
Kaayru: When a sessions starts, it will be announced in System, of course. :)
Kaayru: Each of the sessions will be deicated to a fish. In each session, we will reward the one fishing the biggest fish on that type, and the one catching the most fish of any type.
Kaayru: Actually, there will be 14 winners for the "biggest fish which this session is dedicated too" category, and 1 winner for the "most fish of any kind" category. Not I'm clear enough, feel free to ask questions ;)
Kaayru: Its means that if the session is dedicated to Perch, go fish perch fish! ;)
Kaayru: The System message will announce what fish you have to catch. ;)

First Round - Perch Fish
Second Round - Carp Fish
Third Round - Abdju Fish
Fourth Round - Oxyrynchus Fish
Fifth Round - Tilapia Fish
