Solution to the First Altar

The solution to the puzzle is Fifty. Anyone who types in "fifty" when prompted by the altar receives a meteor fragment, along with a message. You can no longer meditate at the altar after collecting the fragment.

The symbols burned into the ground near the altar (turn off advanced terrain, or leave it on and turn tufts of grass on) are actually hieroglyphics representing 1/2 and 100 respectively, and give 50 when multiplied.

MESSAGE: "Your meditation reveals an image of fire raining from the sky, scouring the adjacent region from the earth. The gods seem indifferent towards you."
