Purpose
This page is attempting to be a compilation of potentially interesting features of the areas around the lost lands of the Valley of the Kings and Pharaohs Bay.
Why were VoK & PB lost to us? I have a few theories, but without further exploration, that's all they are-- theories. For now, all we can do is gather data and map the areas around the wall and see what we can find out.
Mysterious Altar
Year 1, Akhet II=3, morning: An altar appeared at -868, 7455 near a block outside the Hinterlands wall. It has one option-- to meditate on it. When you meditate, this popup appears:
It also sparks approximately once per minute.
The correct word appears to be "fifty," as indicated here: Qatara Meteors
Speaking "fifty" when prompted gives this message:
This appears to be related to these glyphs. These are only visible with either Advanced Terrain disabled or with the maximum tufts of grass displayed (both options are available in the video options dialog, under the Special menu).
After meditiating on "fifty," a player will find they are now holding a Meteor Fragment and are unable to meditate on the altar a second time.
Meditating on "fifty" gives this message: "Your meditation reveals an image of fire raining from the sky, scouring the adjacent region from the earth. The gods seem indifferent towards you."
